The Tinkerbelle Romper is a cute little dress with pants attached. It is dressier than most rompers but still with the functionality of attached pants with snap fasteners on the crotch. It can be worn as a sundress or with a T shirt under. The Tinkerbelle has a double layer skirt and button-on straps. Elastic on the back bodice gives a snug fit. The sewing tutorial shows how to make two versions of the romper.
EXPERIENCE: Advanced beginner /intermediate ----- This is an easy romper to sew you only need plain sewing skills as long as you are confident to make buttonholes --- only two buttonholes needed on the front bib. Follow the sewing tutorial closely and take care to use the exact seam allowances and you will get a perfect finish. The tutorial has a tip for managing with no buttonholes.
SIZES: 3m, 6m, 9m, 1y, 2y, 3y --- to fit babies and toddlers 3 months to 3 years. A size chart in metric and inches is included in the pattern.
FABRIC: Most suitable are light weight cotton fabrics e.g. poplin, lawn, homespun and similar fabrics. I used two coordinating prints in high quality cotton poplin. It can also be made in corduroy or denim as a winter jumper. FABRIC & TRIMS REQUIRED: All fabric and trim lengths are given in the sewing tutorial. As well as fabric you will need narrow elastic, bias binding, 2 buttons, large snap fasteners x 3 and matching thread.
