For my two children, when they were infants, I used the poncho a lot. This made it possible to cover them easily without manipulating them too much, to add a thickness to their coat....
I propose the pattern of a poncho intended for children from 0 to 36 months approximately.
There is only one size which allows it to be enveloping for an infant but which reaches the pelvis for the older ones.
It is composed of 5 pages of texts and photos as well as video links to have the technical explanations on my video channel. There are also two specific pdfs on bias binding.
I imagined it in a fleece, minkee or even sweatshirt fabric with a serger stitch, but it is quite feasible with a sewing machine and a needle for stretch fabric. With this pattern you will apply bias and a press stud.
Printable pattern in A0 and A4
If the installation of bias seems complicated for a first work, a simple hem or the installation of trimmings will do the job very well.
