Sewing pattern for baby and toddler romper. Suitable for all seasons.
Very easy to sew this sweet little romper features an elasticized bodice and shoulder straps making it easy to pull on and off without needing buttons or a zip, great for little ones to get in and out of themselves. There is an optional crotch placket with snap fasteners to make diaper changing easier for babies. The ankles can be elasticized or simply hemmed. The plain romper is fast and easy to sew for an everyday outfit or you can add fancy trims such as lace edging for that extra special touch. The tutorial also shows the option to have tie-up straps and a ruffle on the pant cuffs. Experience: easy to sew; suitable for a confident beginner. Sizes: 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 to fit children 3 months to 6 years. The elastic in the bodice and straps makes the fit very flexible. Fabric: suitable for light to medium weight woven fabrics e.g. poplin, homespun or pin-wale corduroy and minimal stretch knit fabrics like interlock or single knit jersey.
