Blanket is fairly easy to work up, the hat a little more difficult, although with the very detailed instructions and photos included, a beginner should be able to tackle it.

Makes a beautiful simple set, not too fussy. Any new mother would be thrilled to receive this set! Uses 3 or 4 ply Medium Worsted Weight yarn [ Sport or Aran Weight for Great Britain / 8 or 10 ply for Australia ]. Thinner yarn just needs to work one size up. Hat is worked from the bottom up so you will be able to check your head measurement almost immediately. Blanket as instructed is 31 x 51 inches or 78.75 x 129.5 cm but can easily be made smaller or larger. Set also looks wonderful in one color.
