Beautiful ruffled dress and coordinating bloomers --- great for littlies in diapers. You can make the dress for older kids without the pants. Features tie-up shoulders and glossy machine embroidery top stitching on the neckline, frills and bloomers. SIZES: 00, 0 ,1, 2, 3,4, 5, 6 --- to fit babies and toddlers 3-6 months to 6 years. INTERNATIONAL SIZING --- size relates to age e.g. 2 = 2 year old child. A size chart in inches and centimeters is included. EXPERIENCE: Intermediate: you need only plain sewing skills to make the dress and pants. Careful attention to seam allowances and neatness is essential. Follow the photo sewing tutorial closely to learn how to make this style for best results. No serger / over locker required --- you can use the zigzag on your machine to seal the seam allowances. Do not use pinking shears. The embroidery is an automatic programmed stitch design as found on most sewing machines. FABRIC: I used two coordinating cotton prints and a complimentary glossy machine embroidery thread for top stitching. Most suitable are light weight cotton fabrics e.g. poplin, lawn, homespun, linen and similar fabrics. FABRIC REQUIRED: All fabric and trim lengths are given in the sewing tutorial. As well as fabric you will need narrow elastic and glossy machine embroidery thread.
