The Ollie Overalls, a sturdy garment that can stand up to all the action little boys will inflict on it. The Ollies can be made with reversible double layers or as non-reversible single layer with facings. A plain and print combination looks great. The construction is easy and straightforward without side button plackets or elastic. The overall is roomy enough to slip on and off easily without looking baggy and shapeless. They look best when worn with a T shirt or shirt under. The pattern has enough length to allow for a generous hem or turn-back cuff. There are 3 pocket options to choose from. When using checks or stripes the bib and pockets can be cut on the bias grain for a more interesting look.
EXPERIENCE: Advanced beginner with good basic sewing skills and experience. The overalls are not difficult to make; follow the photo tutorial closely for best results.
FABRIC: Best fabrics to use are light to medium weight cottons e.g. homespun, twill, denim etc. For the cooler weather you can use pin-wale corduroy and other medium weight fabrics.
SIZES: 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 to fit babies and toddlers 3+ months to 4 years. A size chart in inches and centimeters is included.
