Shall we play with yarn today, or just be lazy ?!
This pattern (US terminology) will guide you to crochet a lazy kitten amigurumi as shown in pictures, made using soft acrylic 8 ply/DK yarn and crochet hook E (3.5 mm).
Finished size will be approx. 11.8” (30 cm) tall, excluding tail. This pattern is also suitable for wool or cotton yarn. If you wish to make a smaller or larger version of this kitten, you can just use thinner or thicker yarn and a matching size crochet hook. Stylecraft Life DK Silver Nepp (speckled yarn) and Stylecraft Special DK (pink yarn) was used to create the kitten in the pictures.
The kitten’s head and body are crocheted together as 1 part. All parts are worked up in continuous rounds.
Gauge: not important for this pattern, just crochet tight enough so the stuffing won’t show through the stitches.
Skill level: advanced beginner
Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, single/ half double/ double/ treble crochet, bobble stitch, increasing, decreasing
