This pattern (US terminology) will guide you to crochet an adorable amigurumi angel as shown in pictures, made using soft acrylic 8 ply/DK yarn and crochet hook E (3,5 mm). Finished size will be approx. 9” (23 cm) tall. This pattern is also suitable for wool or cotton yarn. If you wish to make a smaller or larger version of this angel, you can just use thinner or thicker yarn and a matching size crochet hook. Stylecraft Special DK was used to create the angels in the pictures.
The angel’s head and body are crocheted together as 1 part. Most parts are worked up in continuous rounds, and some parts are worked up in rows. There is a piece of plastic canvas inserted into the bottom of the doll, so the doll will stand on it’s own. You can use any other sturdy plastic for this purpose, for example the bottom or the lid from a plastic food container.
Gauge: not important for this pattern, just crochet tight enough so the stuffing will not show through the stitches.
Skill level: advanced beginner - intermediate
