Hi! My name is Katy and I designed this original pattern. I hope you love it just as much as I do! All my patterns are written in English using American crochet terms. All patterns assume basic stitch knowledge. You may sell what you make from my patterns.
The cowl starts off like a circular shawl and then is worked in the round to make it a cowl. I really like that these cowls take surprisingly little yarn but they look very full. All the fabric is in the front which also makes them more comfortable to wear. It gives you the look of a shawl without having to deal with the ends.
To make the cowl you will need 2 hanks of Plymouth Merino Textura. This yarn was really fun to work with. It’s a thick/thin 2 ply yarn that gives the cowl a wonderful texture. It also blocks beautifully! You will also need an H hook (or hook to obtain gauge) and 6 stitch markers (scrap yarn works best in my opinion).
